Royal Worcester Hand Painted Floral Yellow & White Jeweled Cup & Saucer C. 1879
Beautiful porcelain bone china coffee cup and saucer. Decorated with a band of hand painted pink, blue, white, yellow, and purple flowers, red strawberries and holly berries along the top of the cup and edge of the saucer. Has a yellow band along the bottom of the cup and center of the saucer. Separating the flowers from the yellow are bands of gold with small gold jewels / beads and larger white jewels / beads. Scalloped gilding along the edge and gold highlights to the handle. Marked on the bottom with a puce Royal Worcester mark with a date code for 1879.
Has some crazing typical of British porcelain, and some wear to the gilding and to the yellow and minor usage wear to the center of the saucer, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
