QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q:
Half the sugar ends up in the lower part of the spinner. I only end up with a small portion of cotton candy. How do you make large portions?
A:
I let my machine warm up for 10 minutes.Try using a little less sugar in the bin OR try using a different brand of sugar. As stated below, try to get it in there evenly. You will always have a little bit of sugar that sticks to the sides of the spinner, but I just keep letting it spin until most of it comes out. We use… see more
Q:
can u put locally available hard candies into the spinner instead of the sugar floss that are available on amaon??
A:
Yes as long as it is hard candy. Like too round discs of cinnamon candy or hard peppermint candy. For some reason I found hard candy working better then the floss sugar. You can even use Life Saves which work great and with those you can use 3 even of different flavors , but all round candy can't be used. Must be lik… see more
Q:
people say they have used regular sugar with this machine in some reviews i was wondering could it also be used with sweet and low or splenda sugar ?
A:
As a chemist...I'd say no way! They are artificial sweeteners many times more sweet than sugar lacking the properties of sugar. Plus the high temperature might make impurities that are unsafe to consume.
Q:
I get one good cone of fluff and then every batch after just spits out melted sugar around the edge, no floss... what am I doing wrong?
A:
When that happened to me I discovered I left the machine off too long between batches. But it could be a coupe things. If you are trying to enjoy the cone right after you make it the machine has a chance to cool down too much. You may be putting too much sugar so it doesn't have room to spin, just melt. Also I had a … see more
Q:
how many oz. does it take to make medium sized cones
A:
two scoops makes medium sized for us. We usually just did one scoop. Its a fantastic machine!
Q:
Is it difficult to clean?
A:
I think most of it is easy to clean. The only difficult bit is the spinner which you should wipe off between each cone to avoid the sugar burning permanently on there. I, unfortunately, didn't so that and mine is impossible to get clean. It still works.
Q:
How long is the shipping? I need it for the first week of August
A:
you should have it in time
Q:
is it loud?
A:
No. I was able to make some cotton candy while watching TV and didn't have to turn the volume up. I was able to hear everything around me just fine.
