Antique 18thC Fuerstenberg Porcelain Turkey Scene Plate Porzellan Teller German

For sale is
a really nice plate made by
Fürstenberg
in the 18th century . It is hand painted with a scene in the center including a male turkey bird in a little landscape surrounding. The rest of the plate has a very detailed relief scroll design to the paste covering almost the entire plate with four panels along the rim that have either a single flower or bug painted in it. the well edge has four smaller cartouches with a bug or flower in it and there are a couple more flowers and bugs scattered around. Gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. Really a great plate and perfect for your next Thanksgiving feast :) The plate is marked underneath as shown meant to imitate the mark of the top German maker of the time  and an impressed letter T (I think). They were known to have used this mark until a law suit made them stop it. More common on figures but you do find it on other wares as well. The piece is in great condition with some wear to the gilding and the one orange flower along the well edge as shown. It displays superbly and is perfect for us turkey day lovers. It is 1.125 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter.
